Suportado? Freddie Roach may mensahe sa pagtakbo ni Pacquiao: “Wouldn’t it be cool if a President defends his title?”

Kahit ang long-time trainer ng pambansang kamao na si Manny Pacquiao ay tila excited narin sa posibilidad na pagtakbo nito sa pinakamataas na posisyon sa gobyerno sa susunod na taon.

Sa panayam sa kanya ng FightHubTV nitong August 6, ibinahagi si Roach kung ano ang masasabi niya sa planong pagtakbo ng boxing champion bilang Presidente ng Pilipinas.

Pabiro din nitong sinabi na kung manalo man si Pacquiao sa kanyang laban ngayon at manalo siya sa 2022 ay baka makakita ang publiko ng isang Presidente na dinedepensahan ang kanyang boxing title.

“I tease Manny sometimes. I ask him, ‘Are you going to run for president?’ He never tells me ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ He’s just like, he smiles at me. if you win this fight and you become president, I said, wouldn’t it be pretty cool if a president defends his title?” ani Roach.

Ngunit alam naman ni Roach na imposibleng lumaban pa si Pacquiao kung sakali na maupo ito sa Malacañang.

“I’d have to fill out a waiver, because you’re not allowed to hit the president,” natatawang sabi ni Roach.

Nagpakita din ng pag aalala si Roach na baka maubos ang pera ni Pacquiao dahil sa pagiging mapagbigay nito sa mahihirap.

“Hopefully he’ll be president by then and not spend all his money on the poor people. Because I do worry about Manny going broke sometimes because he does spend all his money on poor people. He helps them out as much as he can, but sometimes we spend more than we have. But he’s happy with that. He’s given to the poor.” saad ng legendary boxing trainer.

“He remembers when he was one of those people.

He was one of those poor people, he had nothing, he ran away from home because his father ate his dog. That story is really crazy. We’ll leave it there.”  dagdag niya pa.

Sa ngayon ay naghahanda na si Pacquiao sa kanyang laban kay Yordenis Ugas.

Hindi natuloy ang laban ng pambansang kamao kay Errol Spence Jr. dahil sa napinsala nitong mata.
